Red Blend of: 93% Syrah and 7% Carmenere.

C/ Lovely black/purple tarn with a glowing brick red rim.
N/ Huge black fruits stewed with old flint. Cassis and blackcherry reduction sauce. Crushed riverock. Deep, aged tobacco notes. Stewed cedar, with hints of pine. Clean, angular game notes and wet steel.
T/ Medium-full to full mouthfeel. Huge black fruits, black cherry, and ripe cranberry. A pronounced crushed rock taste frames and compliments a very high acid presence. Her close is dominated by deep wood flavors and a touch of sweetness. Her only faults are a bit of brick dust and chalk on the taste, and for the first two hours the acids outplayed the ample fruit payload a bit. [Recommend a vigorous decant and at least 2 hours of breathing prior to enjoying this wine].
All in all a very interesting, complex, and certainly worthy South American Syrah.
