Brazil, Cabernet Sauvignon, Miolo, Reserva, Campanha, Rio Grande de Sur, 2009

N/ Clean, inky, light plums. Fruit aromas far more reserved than I expected for this fresh vintage. Flint on the finish and some acidic granite wafts.

T/ Medium mouthfeel. Angular lines crossed with light, almost not ripe, plum and cassis. Slight cranberry. Extended mineral finish. Needs more fruit and a touch more acid. Woodwork solid but a bit out of balance as it calls for more fruit.

I was a little surprised by this bottle as I just had the 2006 version of this wine again and was very pleased.

Price = 25R$ (Brasil) /  ($15 US)

Very Good.

Rating = B / B+
